The manufacturer with the four rings presents a new concept vehicle: the Audi A5 Sportback. Based on the coupe A5 Sportback, offers the comfort of a sedan, the functionality of the prior and the design of the coupe.Aesthetically, the coupe 5-door is distinguished by its elegant and sporty shape. The large tailgate blends seamlessly into the design behind, while the edge deflector and the insert diffuser produces a contrast effect emphasizing the sleek tension. Being a Coupe, the silhouette of the vehicle is characterized by a reduced height of 36 mm compared to that of the A4 sedan with a lowered roof without excess to sinking lines, by short cantilevers both in front and rear, and by a long wheelbase of 2 810 mm and four doors without frame fitted with side windows.
With 480 liters, the boot volume is almost comparable to that of the former A4, where records of the rear seat is folded down, it reached even 980 liters. Although the height of the vehicle is slightly lower than the A4 sedan and the roof line down far back, the headroom and space for the legs are comparable.
Under the hood, two petrol engines and three diesel engines are offered initially for the A5 Sportback. The two petrol engines (engine 2.0 TFSI quattro displaying an output of 211 hp (155 kW) and torque of 350 Nm and the 3.2-liter V6 with transmission quattro deploying 265 hp (195 kW)) are equipped with the Audi valvelift.
